James Bollom
9th January 1989 – 4th December 2005

James was only 16 when his life was tragically taken in a car accident near Wateringbury, Kent turning the lives of friends and family upside down.

James loved life and everyone he met loved him – his infectious smile lit up a room. He died one month short of his 17th birthday where he had already planned to take driving lessons and had already picked out his first car.

James lived a full and extremely happy life and lived for his friends – being a typical teenager, weekends meant everything to him and his whole week was spent arranging what to do on a Friday and Saturday night. To show how much they cared for him, his friends turned out in force at his funeral and over 450 people gathered in and around the chapel at the Crematorium.

James had started at Tonbridge college after attending Sackville School in Hildenborough – he built up a close knit of friends at Sackville who were devastated at his loss.

James will never be forgotten and so many lasting tributes have been made in his memory – trees were planted by his school in Hildenborough, Kent and at his prep school in Radlett, Herts. Benches lay in memory for him on Bearsted Green and at his favourite drinking hole, the Spitfire in Kings Hill, West Malling.
